Similar to the American-produced Sesame Street the series address issues in an Afghan way. Aunt & Uncle is the first time producers and writers of a children's television show have used educational goals and a curriculum to shape the contents of the show in Afghanistan.
The show specifically focuses on social affairs, gender equality and developing positive role models for Afghanistan’s future leaders.
